About The Turning Point New Zealand

The Turning Point New Zealand is a private drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre providing detox and residential treatment for adults in Auckland. Founded in 2013, the centre offers personalised support for substance use disorders alongside co-occurring concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma and stress. Treatment brings together evidence-based therapy, holistic wellness and 12-Step principles. Individual counselling, group sessions, family therapy, relapse prevention and addiction education help guests understand the patterns behind substance use while developing practical skills for lasting recovery. Many team members draw on lived experience of addiction recovery, complementing the work of clinical, medical and counselling professionals. Daily meditation, restorative yoga, nutrition guidance and spiritual care support physical and emotional wellbeing throughout the programme. Treatment plans are shaped around each guest's history, health and recovery goals, with structured phases covering assessment, stabilisation, education, case management and discharge planning. The centre occupies a peaceful, redesigned homestead on 25 acres of rural land in East Auckland. Comfortable bedrooms, gardens, walking areas and relaxing outdoor spaces create a private, homelike setting where guests can step away from daily pressures and concentrate on healing.

Thanks to the turning point , the amazing support workers & in house care I’m proud to say making the decision to come here for treatment has been the best thing I could have done for myself & my future. After 10 years I’m officially 3 weeks (and counting) sober, deeply connecting with amazing friends of recovery and sobriety that I know will be friends for life. Thank you so much to Pete, Joe, Tina, Jason, Nicole, Candice, Andrew & Kyle you guys have changed my life. I will never be able to repay you for giving me a leg up in getting my life back, the constant support & live skills to be able to action everyday for success plus the most amazing in house care, I miss the food already! The turning point, saved my life & gave a mother back to my children, a daughter to my parents and a more than decent human to society!

The Turning Point has changed my life. Such an amazing place to be when I was at my lowest point physically, emotionally and spiritually. The staff are so kind and nurturing and have experience and wisdom to help you through the darkest most uncomfortable times. I have met so many new friends who I now consider family and made an amazing support network to help me through my days. I couldn’t recommend The Turning Point enough for anyone struggling with addiction. This experience helped me through more than just my addiction, and I have had some amazing experiences through the program. So so grateful to have found Peter and the rest of the Turning Point family.
