About The Cabin Chiang Mai - Rehab Thailand

The Cabin Chiang Mai is a private residential rehabilitation centre in Northern Thailand offering personalised care for substance use, behavioural addictions and co-occurring mental health concerns. Founded in 2010, the centre combines structured clinical treatment with holistic practices in a peaceful riverside setting away from everyday triggers. Treatment is shaped around each client following medical, psychiatric and clinical assessments. Its integrative model brings together one-to-one counselling, group and family therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, EMDR, mindfulness and an adapted Twelve-Step foundation. Programmes can address alcohol and drug dependence alongside anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, ADHD and compulsive behaviours such as gambling, gaming, shopping and sex addiction. Daily life balances therapeutic work with physical and restorative activities. Clients may participate in yoga, personal training, swimming, massage, Muay Thai, recovery meetings and supervised excursions around Chiang Mai. Tropical gardens, walking trails, comfortable accommodation and nutritious dining create a calm environment in which clients can concentrate on recovery and personal wellbeing. The multidisciplinary team includes addiction counsellors, therapists, medical professionals and around-the-clock nursing support. Residential care can be followed by outpatient services, online continuing-care groups, individual counselling and alumni support, helping clients carry the skills developed in Thailand into everyday life at home.

I really don’t have the words to fully explain how much this place helped me. It’s just something you feel when you’re there. The program has real depth, nothing fake, nothing rushed. They actually take time to understand you and your situation. Every person I met here truly cared. The counselors, nurses, kitchen staff, support team, everyone. You can tell they are not just doing a job. They want to help people who are hurting. I came in thinking my case was too complicated and that no rehab could really help me. I was wrong. After a little over two months, I left feeling more stable, clearer in my mind, and honestly happier than I’ve been in years. I got my life back. This place doesn’t give you shortcuts or quick comfort. You are expected to do the work, but you are never alone while doing it. If you want real healing and not just to be “treated,” this is the place. I’m very thankful for everything they did for me. I won’t forget it.

We were recommended The Cabin Chiang Mai for help with our son’s depression and addiction, and we honestly can’t recommend them enough. He is back home now and doing really well. The staff were caring and professional throughout, and communication with our family was excellent from start to finish. The family programme was especially valuable — it educated us, supported us, and helped keep us sane during a very difficult time. We’re incredibly grateful for the care and support we all received.

I spent eight weeks at The Cabin at the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025. I’ve now been clean for well over a year, and am building a new life for myself. The support staff were experienced in handling whatever came up. The counsellors were extremely knowledgeable, and group therapy sessions were great and in depth. I felt genuinely supported throughout my time there. I can’t express how grateful I am to The Cabin for helping me get to where I am today!
