About Palladium Private
Palladium Private is a private residential mental health and addiction treatment centre in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland near Maleny, Queensland. Established in 2003, the centre supports adults experiencing substance dependency, trauma, anxiety, depression and co-occurring mental health concerns within a discreet, structured environment. Residential care, clinically assessed detox support and structured aftercare are available, with treatment plans adapted to each guest's needs, history and recovery goals. Set across peaceful hinterland grounds near the Glass House Mountains, Palladium Private offers gardens, walking trails, pools, wellness facilities and quiet areas for reflection. Comfortable accommodation, chef-prepared meals and restorative activities help create a welcoming setting in which guests can step back from everyday pressures and concentrate on sustainable change.

Real experiences from people who've been there.
I felt welcomed and very at ease, immediately. The accommodations were comfortable. The chef prepared meals were generally outstanding. The staff were always supportive and truly showed they cared about their clients health & wellbeing. Overall I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to change their life for the better.
I am so grateful for the opportunity to go to palladium and learn everything I did. The entire staff are amazing and so supportive. I was surprised to find so much in common with so many people there, from fellow clients to staff. The cabin I stayed in was absolutely beautiful and maleny is a beautiful rural town and environment. I flew from Nz to be there and it was so worth it. I would go again if I could just for fun. The food was absolutely amazing different every day, and the psycho education classes were definitely a highlight of mine, I learned so much and definitely have the tools I need to keep fighting my addiction and mental illness. I loved how it was catered to a variety of different people with different issues but somehow it applied to all of us and that connected us all. The progress I made was very visible to my family and partner and everyone at palladium. They've given me back my excitement for the future and that's the most important thing to me. I would highly recommend palladium to anyone who needs it. Thank you so much all of you.
I came to Palladium as a alcoholic with a cocaine and meth addiction, I’ve been battling addiction for 13 years and tried to get sober 3 times previously. palladium was great I stayed for 6 weeks, I worked on a lot of trauma healing with one of the psychologists. learnt a lot about life skills and how to handle situations and emotions without turning to drugs or alcohol. The food was great the gym programs were good and the pool and Sauna was also great to relax at in free time. Attending AA and NA meetings once a week outside of the rehab also helped me a lot with my recovery and I’m now leaving 40 days sober and on top of my addiction.
I came to Palladium needing a huge life reset after a health condition made my anxiety really bad. I wanted a circuit breaker to reset my body and reset my mind and Palladium delivered both in abundance for me. I arrived burnt out, highly anxious and a bit lost in life and I left with the mental health tools I need to thrive again. I have never felt so safe and supported from Day 1. The program focuses on mental health (which is so important if you are not coming from addiction or trauma, but also super helpful for those that are) Each day we had group therapy - big shout out to Tim for running an amazing sessions on Polyvagal Theory. we had twice weekly 1:1 ACT therapy sessions, Allison was great and we made such progress in such a short space of time. A lot of stuff was learnt to help give us the tools to thrive in life - Shivani's workshops on IRest were brilliant. We had amazing remedial massages - Radhika is the best! Daily Yoga with Shivani which was trauma informed so healing for me. We had weekly excursions to beaches, rainforest walks and hikes in nature. The schedule is the perfect mixture of activities and down time. I cannot get over how incredible the food was - a huge shout out to JP for every single dish, its was outstanding. Restaurant quality and so much variety over my three week stay. I would come back for the food alone! But the real magic of Palladium comes from the other guests, and there own journeys, I walked in the door scared and everyone just rally's around you and makes you feel so safe and supported. I learnt so much from others on their journey, and made so many incredible connections. The authenticity of everyone, our life masks shattered, raw vulnerable stories of challenges, you are met by people who are somewhat broken (that's why we are all there) but so open, honest and raw and willing to support you- I have made some incredible connections that were hugely impactful on my healing journey. I cannot thank the staff and other guests enough for everything they did to support me. Palladium is one of the few facilities in Australia that focuses on Mental Health as the foundation for its curriculum and I hope it stays that way under the new management. its a really special place that helps people when they are at their most vulnerable.
