HARP Rehab Melbourne
About HARP Rehab Melbourne
HARP Rehab Melbourne’s Stonehurst of Sassafras is a discreet residential treatment centre created for executives, business owners, professional athletes and other clients who value privacy. Located around 45 minutes from central Melbourne, the four-bed residence provides a quiet alternative to larger institutional programmes, with private accommodation and a highly personalised daily schedule. Treatment is centred on HARP’s proprietary 5i Recovery Curriculum, an educational and therapeutic framework informed by addiction science, abstinence-based recovery principles and cognitive behavioural therapy. Psychologists, psychotherapists, alcohol and other drug counsellors, facilitators and mental health support professionals work together to address substance use, behavioural addictions and co-occurring emotional difficulties. The clinical programme is complemented by restorative therapies that support physical health and emotional regulation. Depending on individual needs and availability, residents may participate in mindfulness, art therapy, yoga, breathwork, personal training, massage, acupuncture and nature-based activities. Family education, lifestyle coaching and structured relapse-prevention planning help translate progress into everyday life. Set among the forested Dandenong Ranges, Stonehurst offers space to step away from demanding routines and external triggers without becoming completely disconnected. Private work areas and controlled access to phones and laptops can accommodate essential professional responsibilities, while concierge transfers, chef-prepared dining and continuing HARP+ support create a comfortable transition into and beyond residential care.

Reviews from Guests
Real experiences from people who've been there.
Leaving a review for a rehab can feel overwhelming. It’s such a personal experience, and it’s not something you take lightly. But HARP truly changed my life — so if sharing this helps even one young woman, mother, sister or daughter who is struggling, then it’s worth it. Before I submitted my inquiry, I did a lot of research. I came across their 5-step curriculum and saw that at the Olinda facility, Randall teaches the program. After looking through their Instagram and listening to him speak, something just clicked. It wasn’t about the luxury for me — although the setting is beautiful — I needed real inner work. And that’s exactly what I got. Randall, Olivia (the psychologist), and Nick (the counsellor) were the heart of my experience. They didn’t just “do their jobs” — they genuinely cared. Randall especially challenged me in ways I didn’t always like in the moment. We clashed at times, but it always came from a place of compassion and wanting better for me. He holds the curriculum in such a powerful way. On my very first session, I told him I was here to learn from him. On my last day, I asked him what I had said in that first session — and he repeated it back to me word for word. That meant more than I can explain. I was quick to judge the nightly NA and AA meetings at first. I didn’t think they would be for me. Now, I’m so grateful for them. Sitting in those rooms, hearing other people’s stories, seeing where they came from and the light in their faces as they shared their milestones — that’s what recovery looks like. That’s what hope looks like. And HARP helped me find that. I originally signed up for four weeks and ended up staying for six. I have never once regretted extending my time. No matter where you’ve come from or what your “poison” was, there is no judgment there. They see you. They hear you. They meet you where you’re at. Yes, it’s expensive. But this is your life. Your future. Your peace. I can’t put a price on that. If you go in honest, open and truly willing to change, you will get everything you need. If you’re looking for a holiday or celebrity treatment, this probably isn’t it. This is real work. I don’t feel like I got my old life back — I feel like I’ve been given a new one. I’ve made lifelong friends with other clients, and even the teachers and support workers will always hold a special place in my heart. I’m sober. And I am the happiest I’ve ever been. Randall and Kate, in particular, were my saving grace
My experience at HARP was life changing to say the least. I have been out of HARP almost 3 months now and feel like a different human being. The facilitators in particular are incredible, their relatable experiences, support, love and in depth knowledge really made the lemon worth the squeeze. The friendships and bonds you create in there are unparalleled also, I’m still in constant contact with many of house mates. A little bonus I definitely did not expect. The facilities are beautiful, the beds are comfortable, the food is good, pool, spa, gym, you have everything you need for a successful recovery and more. Their AA related Curriculum is amazing too. having come out with a sponsor and working the steps, HARPS curriculum really familiarises you with everything you can expect in that process and making it a touch easier to grasp. If you are respectful, willing and open minded then HARP will definitely get you sober, keeping in mind that AA post HARP will keep you sober. 2 gifts to my current life.
I went to harp in September of 2025 for 2 months. During my time at harp, I discovered myself and have learnt to love myself again. Randall, the facilitator that I had for most of my experience at harp, took me through the curriculum and work we are assigned to do while being there and he changed my life for good. Without harp, I would have never have gotten clean. I have battled addiction for years and never knew how to make it out. Harp gave me the tools and knowledge I have today and I can’t thank them enough. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to get clean. This place will change your life for good. I am so grateful for HARP and their staff.
I stumbled upon HARP after a long and frustrating journey through various rehabilitation centers, and I must say, it has been a game-changer for me. From the moment I walked through their doors, I felt a sense of warmth and genuine care that is hard to find elsewhere. The staff at HARP are not just professionals; they are compassionate individuals who truly understand the challenges of recovery. My therapist, Sarah, was particularly outstanding. She tailored my treatment plan to my specific needs, ensuring that every session was both effective and empowering. Her expertise and dedication have been instrumental in my progress. The facilities are top-notch, with state-of-the-art equipment and a serene environment that promotes healing. The cleanliness and organization are impeccable, which is a testament to their commitment to providing a safe and comfortable space for their clients. What sets HARP apart is their holistic approach to rehabilitation. They don't just focus on the physical aspects; they also address the mental and emotional well-being of their clients. I participated in group sessions and individual counseling, which helped me build a support network and develop coping strategies that have been invaluable in my recovery journey. The success stories and testimonials from other clients are a testament to the effectiveness of their programs. I am grateful to have found HARP, as it has given me hope and the tools to rebuild my life. I highly recommend HARP to anyone seeking a supportive and effective rehabilitation experience. They have truly made a difference in my life, and I am confident they can do the same for others.
