Cyrenian House - Saranna Women and Children's Program
About Cyrenian House - Saranna Women and Children's Program
Cyrenian House’s Saranna Women and Children’s Program provides residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation for adult women who want to continue caring for their children while working toward recovery. The family-focused setting helps remove a major barrier to treatment by allowing eligible mothers and children to remain together throughout the residential programme. Saranna operates within the Rick Hammersley Centre Therapeutic Community, a peaceful 32-acre bushland property approximately 30 minutes north of central Perth. Families stay in individual accommodation, while children up to age 12 can attend a local primary school or the purpose-built childcare centre located on the grounds. Treatment follows a gender-specific, evidence-based and strengths-focused therapeutic community model. Women actively participate in shared routines, therapeutic groups, individual counselling, recreation and practical responsibilities, using daily community life to develop healthier behaviours, stronger relationships and greater personal accountability. Alongside addiction treatment, the programme can address parenting, perinatal mental health, family and domestic violence, housing and independent living needs. Case management, medical-service access, relapse prevention and aftercare planning help women prepare for a safer, more stable return to family and community life.

Reviews from Guests
Real experiences from people who've been there.
It was a great experience. Having a place like Midland Withdrawal Centre in Perth is a real asset. The staff are fantastic, and the food is excellent. The standout for me was one staff member in particular, Vaughan, who takes the place from a solid 4.5 stars to a full 5. Thank you to MWIC and especially to Vaughan for all your support. 👊💪
Well I’m off right now to Rehab, all thanks to the beautiful Melody. You have saved my life and the team at Cyrenian really have gone above and beyond to help me get better. Words aren’t enough! Thankyou!!!!
Cyrenian house saved my life!! After years of different rehabilitations, mental health units i finally find the one that really helped me change my life, my behaviours and the real reason I used drugs. I have been a polysubstance drug addict for over 15 years, starting on benzos then iv meth and ending with heroin. I thought I was beyond help, my last attempt to get clean I found Munda Mia tc. Its a womens only rehab in a beautiful setting in the hills. The accomodation is beautiful somedays It felt like a retreat. The staff and residents are amazing, its a safe space to get well! I have now graduated the program and am allowed to volunteer and give back. ! If your looking to change your life and get clean go to cyrenian house! You wont regret it!
