Addiction In-Home Recovery, also known as AIR Detox, provides discreet, doctor-led withdrawal care in the privacy of a person’s home. Founded on the Gold Coast, the service offers daily in-person medical visits throughout the region and secure telehealth appointments for suitable participants across Australia. Each programme begins with a comprehensive assessment of the participant’s health, substance use, home environment and recovery goals. The clinical team then creates an individual treatment plan, using evidence-based protocols, regular medical reviews and prescription medication when appropriate to make withdrawal safer and more manageable. The seven-day detox programme is designed for people who would benefit from structured medical support without entering a residential facility. Participants receive 24-hour telephone access to clinical help during withdrawal and are generally required to have a trusted support person available. Care may address alcohol, cannabis and stimulant withdrawal, subject to an individual safety assessment. AIR Detox emphasises dignity, flexibility and continuity of care. Following the acute withdrawal phase, participants receive a personalised post-detox plan and clinical follow-up to strengthen recovery, reduce relapse risk and connect with ongoing community, medical or counselling support.

Comprehensive Medical Assessment
Before detox begins, a doctor reviews medical history, substance use, withdrawal risks and the safety of the home environment. Pathology or other baseline investigations may be arranged when clinically indicated.
Daily Medical Reviews
Participants meet with their doctor each day during the withdrawal phase, either through a Gold Coast home visit or a secure video appointment. Progress, symptoms and risk factors are monitored closely.
Medication-Supported Withdrawal
Prescription medication may be used to ease withdrawal symptoms and cravings when appropriate. The treatment plan can be adjusted as the participant’s needs change throughout the week.
